Comedian Jon Dore is a talented Canadian writer and actor that has infused his comedic abilities into numerous hit television shows and films. He has an impressive comedy resume which includes work on The Comedy Network’s The Jon Dore Show, CBC’s Just for Laughs, and HBO’s popular Funny as Hell. You can also see Jon host eight episodes of The Stand Up Show on the Comedy Network from July 2019’s Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. See him perform LIVE this April.

Intimate apparel fashion entrepreneurs Sybil & Jane have a huge secret – they’re working on the biggest deal of their careers, and they can’t wait to surprise their families with the news once they close the deal. Meanwhile, their husbands know that Sybil & Jane are keeping a big secret from them, and they’re determined to uncover what it is. Misunderstandings abound and lead to hilarious situations in this farce by Marcia Kash & Doug Hughes.

Certainly his peers think so, as evidenced by the fact that he’s a four-time nominee, and winner of Best Standup Comic – Canadian Comedy Awards, as well as a multiple Gemini nominee for Best Performance in a Comedy. Fandango Musical Players Inc. presents their community production of Stephen Sondheim’s  “Into The Woods.”

INTO THE WOODS (Music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim | Book by James Lapine) – The fantasy musical weaves together fairy-tale figures who – through both comedy and tragedy – are cursed and cured by journeying into the woods where they must learn the responsibility that comes with getting your wishes granted.


DuffleBag Theatre: Sleeping Beauty

Family-favourite DuffleBag Theatre has traveled the globe with their original adaptations of fairy tales and classic stories. They return to Harbourfront this December!

The King and Queen plan a huge party to celebrate the birth of the Princess Aurora. But when the Evil Fairy fails to receive an invitation to the birthday celebration, her curse changes everything!  Can they prevent the Princess from pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel? Will the entire Kingdom fall asleep for a hundred years? Will it take a handsome Prince to wake them up or just a rubber chicken? Only DuffleBag Theatre knows for sure in their enchanting adaptation so come and play your part in the story to find out!
